SEPTEMBER SCHEDULE
SATURDAY SEPTEMBER 2nd. DIETZ to CAMP JORDAN. 10 am.
We’ll meet at the Dietz Rd ramp in FT Oglethorpe, GA on the W Chickamauga Creek at 10 am. We’ll unload and run shuttle to the upper Camp Jordan ramp and then put on. It’s a 5-mile Class 1 (current and obstacles) paddle of about 2.5 hours including a break. SATURDAY SEPTEMBER 9th. WOMEN’S WORLDS IRONMAN SUPPORT BOATER. 5.30 am.
SATURDAY SEPTEMBER 9th. GIRL SCOUT CLASS 1 RAFT RACE SUPPORT BOATER. Noon. The girl scouts make homemade rafts from inner tubes and bamboo and race them from the Reliance bridge down to the 411 bridge on Class 1 whitewater. Support boaters are needed to paddle down with them to make sure that they stay safe. Meet Taylor Watson at the put in at noon.

SATURDAY SEPTEMBER 9th. 50th ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION DINNER. 6 pm. Dinner sign up deadline is August 30th. Volunteers are needed for the 50th Anniversary Celebration on Saturday and Sunday, September 9th and 10th. For the 50th, we need people to help with setup, registration, race management, parking control, raffle and several other tasks. Many have stepped up to help, but many more are needed. If you can give a couple of hours of your time anytime Saturday and/or Sunday, please contact sdianlawhon@gmail.com.

SEPTEMBER 16/17. ELK RIVER OVERNIGHTER. The Elk River is up by Tim’s Ford Dam near the Jack Daniels plant. It’s Class 1 with camping on the river bank Saturday night. You must be self-sufficient for this trip. Uwe is leading this trip so call him directly. 423-322-9611.
