We have organized an overnight backpacking trip March 3rd through 4th. It is a 16 mile loop in South Cumberland State Park. The terrain will be moderate. Hobbs cabin is midway. It is a primitive cabin with six wooden bunks. Space in the cabin is limited. There will be spaces for tenting, but will require a separate reservation.  New and experienced backpackers are welcome. If you are a new backpacker, we will pair you with someone to help with gear and packing/planning. Prior to the weekend, we will meet for food, beverage, and packing planning; hosted by Appalachian Trail Thru/Section Hikers. If you are interested, please contact Rebekah Harris at (423) 667-3783.
