Is the Middle Ocoee running?
The Middle Ocoee is controlled by TVA Ocoee Dam #2.

How to Read the Online Gauge:
- Count how many generators are running. In this example, there are two.
- Each generator holds a capacity of 600 cfs. Multiply the number of generators running by 600. In this example, 600 cfs x 2 generators = 1,200 cfs. That’s how much water is being diverted OUT of the river.
- Subtract the water being diverted OUT of the river from the Average Hourly Discharge. In this example, 2485 CFS Total – 1200 CFS Diverted = 1285 cfs IN THE RIVER
- The average summer Ocoee day is 1,200 – 1800 CFS, but the Ocoee can be run much lower and much higher, though the river gets pushy especially above 3,000 cfs.
