20 paddlers met at the Hales Bar ramp at 10 am on May 28th on a perfect paddling day.
We ran shuttle and put on for the 5.5 mile paddle to the Nickajack Dam, stopping at the bluff on river right on the way.
We timed the lock through pretty well as once we were all ready we only had to wait a couple of minutes for the lock doors to open from the previous lock through.
We paddled in and rafted up and tied off to the floating post, and then they pulled the plug and we dropped 23 feet to the river level from the dam level and paddled out.
We took out at the ramp just below the dam and then headed over to the catfish restaurant.
Another fun day on the water.
