Join us for a backpacking trip on the Appalachian Trail-Georgia. It will start from Woody Gap, GA 60, hiking south to north. Day 1-hike 7 miles to Woods Hole Shelter. Stay in shelter (limited space) and tents. Day 2-hike 3.6 miles to Neel Gap/Walasi-Yi Center at US 19/129. The center is a legendary to backpackers. The terrain will be moderate-ish….depending on perspective. New and experienced backpackers are welcome. If you are a new backpacker, we will pair you with someone to help with  gear and packing.
