Spring Member Party – May 6th

By John Hubbard

TVCC has been busy!

We will dedicate three new picnic tables being donated to Rock Creek for the pavilion as part of our 50th year activities. We will also present a tandem funyak, paddles, and other gear to the East Polk County Rescue Department for use in their remote water rescues. The new picnic tables have been put together and are at the pavilion.   We practiced on the first one and efficiently put the 2nd and 3rd together. Not too many parts left over. Thanks BG. Then got Andy and Gina at Rock Creek to help move them onto the pavilion. Andy’s dog Adia supervised. Ask Andy where his dog’s name comes from.

Did you know?
We have four club members who are on the Jackson team — Brandon, Chad, David, and Kat. I have invited them to speak. All will talk about being on the Jackson team, how they were selected, and tell some great stories of their experiences. We may see some video and pictures they have to share. They are checking their schedules. Who is coming announced next week!!!
