| The Locust Fork trip for 3/14 should be good to go. We are supposed to get more rain next week so I think the level should be fine. It is a free flow so a alternate trip similar in difficulty will be selected if the level is too high or too low that day. The alternate trip would probably be the Cartecay to DNR or Clear Creek Barnett to Lilly if needed. You need to be comfortable on the Hiwassee before signing up for this trip. Also remember that it is still considered winter paddling so you need to have the appropriate gear for it. Even if the outside temp is warm the water will still be very cold if you swim. Please let me know by next Wednesday if you are going so I can make sure there are enough support boaters. I will probably need at least 3-5 support boaters for this trip. We will probably try to meet at the Lookout Valley Walmart at 9am for those wanting to carpool; then 11:30am at the putin. I decided to do a little later start since daylight savings starts that day.
